Masks.

masks… the global trend that never goes out of style… (Sorry, theres a part where it gets really quiet, if you want me to send you my “script” I can probably do that) Umm. just so you know, the last two shots were not planned… the mirror fell ontop of all the wine glasses, getting me rather wet… (also splashing my laptop.. NOT GOOD)… so, I just kinda finished the filming anyways lol.

Whoa, totally awesome! You must have a lot of experience with face-painting because that was a work of art. Beautiful monologue too. Cheers.

Part of this video reminded me of a quote by Marianne Williamson, I’d look it up if it weren’t three in the morning. Paraphrastically it was, “our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate; our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure; it is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Really, who are you not to be?”

  • thegoldleaf100 says:

wow i thought of this thing before and your right why hade am it hard to take it off but i have and it feels good i still feel numb life is no fare but why let it make you down

    This mask I wear,
    she serves me well,
    she hides my pain,
    so they can’t tell.
    They see her smile,
    never my tears,
    she shows no sorrow,
    she fights all my fears.
    They believe she is me,
    if only they knew,
    that she is my mask,
    my saviour too.
    My scars she hides,
    behind laughter and lies,
    she say’s she is fine,
    but slowly she dies.

This is a really beautiful video in a tragic, honest sort of way. It reminds me of the short story ‘The Minister’s Black Veil’

Dexter is a showtime series about a serial killer who works for the Miami police as a blood splatter technician. He’s a careful, calculating late-twenties individual who feels nothing and fakes emotion to fit into society. He speaks very similarly to the way you did as he voices-over segments, which is likely why the connection was made.

If you aren’t shy’ed away by that kind of thing, you should definitely check it out. It’s a fantastic series based off of fantastic novels.
